Education Programme
UPDATE: Our education programme is now fully booked. We will shortly be uploading all the content and printable materials to this page so you can deliver the full workshop to your class/group independently. Make sure you’re signed up to the Camden Highline newsletter to be the first to know when it’s available!
Camden Highline, in collaboration with Urban Learners, have launched a series of day-long, off-site education days for KS2 and KS3 students, as a continuation of their education programme. These workshops are funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Tracking the Heritage.
Students will explore Camden Town's industrial heritage through a walking tour, then contribute to a piece of collective artwork, with activities linking to multiple curriculum targets. The workshop aims to enrich students with a new awareness, understanding and appreciation for their unique local area and facilitate their participation in shaping Camden’s future built-environment. The workshops will be hosted at Camden Collective. They will run from September 2024 to September 2025.
“Not only would [the Camden Highline Education workshops] support academic elements within our curriculum (including History, Art & Design, Geography, Science and Maths; STEAM) it would provide our students with a better understanding of their community and local heritage'
- Charlie Welch, Assistant Head, Regent High School (Camden).
